Maintenance and upkeep procedures for knitting circular knitting machine equipment
The regular and refined maintenance of knitting circular knitting machines is a core measure to ensure stable operation of equipment, reduce fabric defect rates, and extend equipment service life. It should follow the principle of “prevention first, graded maintenance, and precise operation”, covering three major maintenance dimensions: daily, regular, and specialized.
1、 Daily maintenance (performed before and after each shift)
1. Check before startup
-Clean the surface of the equipment, needle cylinder, triangular track, and yarn feeder of flying flowers, yarn residue, and dust to prevent impurities from entering the moving parts and causing jamming or wear.
-Check the lubricating oil level to ensure that the oil cup has sufficient oil and the oil quality is clear without impurities; Check the oil output status of the oil needle, confirm that the oil output of each lubrication point is uniform, without blockage or leakage.
-Check whether the knitting needles and sinkers are intact, whether they are bent, broken or damaged; Test the sensitivity of the yarn feeder tensioner to ensure smooth tension adjustment and no jamming.
-Start the device and let it idle for 3-5 minutes, monitor the running sound, and if there are no abnormal noises or loose parts shaking, it can be put into production.
2. Clean after shutdown
-Cut off the power, thoroughly clean the yarn debris in the needle groove, use a specialized brush to clean the triangular track gap, and avoid dirt accumulation affecting the needle lifting trajectory.
-Wipe off the oil stains and cloth debris on the surface of the pulling roller and the rolling roller, keep the roller surface smooth, and prevent fabric adhesion or uneven pulling.
-Organize the yarn on the yarn feeding rack, clean up the waste yarn, and keep the work area clean; Cover the equipment with a dust cover to prevent dust from entering the interior of the device.
2、 Regular maintenance (performed on a periodic basis, divided into weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual maintenance)
1. Weekly maintenance
-Disassemble and clean the oil needle, oil passage, and filter screen, clear the blocked oil circuit, replace the deteriorated lubricating oil, and ensure the smooth operation of the lubrication system.
-Check the tightness of the transmission belt. If it is too loose, it may slip and affect the speed, and if it is too tight, it may aggravate bearing wear. Adjust it to a 1-2cm elastic deflection when pressing the belt.
-Calibrate the yarn feeding tension and uniformly adjust all tensioners to ensure consistent tension of all yarns; Check the electrical circuit connectors for any looseness or aging.
2. Monthly maintenance
-Disassemble the triangular device, clean the triangular track with a specialized cleaning agent, check for wear and scratches on the triangular surface, and replace any severely worn parts in a timely manner to avoid thin fabric and needle skipping.
-Check the wear of the inner wall of the syringe and the needle groove, and clean the dirt inside the needle groove; Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the needles, replace bent or blunt needles, and fill in missing needles according to standard density.
-Check the gears and bearings of the pulling and coiling mechanism, and add lubricating grease; Test the sensitivity of the braking system to ensure timely shutdown response.
3. Quarterly maintenance
-Thoroughly disassemble the entire machine, clean core components such as the transmission gearbox and motor bearings, replace gear oil, inspect gear meshing, and promptly repair and replace severely worn ones.
-Detect the operation status of the electrical control system, including PLC, touch screen, and sensors, calibrate parameter settings, and replace aging circuits and components.
-Check the load-bearing components such as racks and columns for any deformation or cracking; Strengthen all fastening bolts to prevent vibration during high-speed operation of the equipment.
4. Annual maintenance
-Invite professional technicians to conduct overall performance testing, evaluate the degree of wear and tear of key components such as syringes, triangles, and needles, and develop replacement or refurbishment plans.
-Perform precision calibration on the equipment, including needle bed parallelism, triangle trajectory accuracy, and pulling speed synchronization, to ensure that the equipment meets high-precision weaving requirements.
-Replace aging seals, conveyor belts, tension springs, and other vulnerable parts to fully restore equipment performance.
3、 Special maintenance (for special working conditions and fault prevention)
1. Special maintenance of lubrication system
-Strictly select specialized lubricating oil for knitting circular knitting machines, and prohibit the mixing of different models and brands of oil products; Adjust the viscosity of the oil according to the ambient temperature, choose high viscosity oil in high temperature season and low viscosity oil in low temperature season.
-Establish a lubrication ledger, record refueling time, oil quantity, and oil quality, regularly monitor the degree of lubricant contamination, and avoid component locking due to poor lubrication.
2. Special maintenance of electrical system
-Keep the electrical control cabinet dry and ventilated to prevent moisture and short circuits; Regularly clean the dust inside the control cabinet and check if the cooling fan is running properly.
-Avoid frequent starting and stopping of precision electrical components such as frequency converters and servo motors to prevent component damage caused by voltage fluctuations.
3. Maintenance during downtime
-If the equipment is shut down for a long time, all needles and sinkers should be removed, cleaned, and coated with rust proof oil for proper storage; Spray rust inhibitor on metal parts such as syringes and triangles.
-Drain lubricating oil and gear oil to prevent oil from deteriorating and corroding components; Cover the equipment and place it in a dry and ventilated environment.
4、 Maintenance operation precautions
1. All maintenance operations must be carried out in a shutdown and power-off state. It is strictly prohibited to disassemble equipment with power on to prevent electric shock or mechanical injury.
When replacing precision components such as needles and triangles, special tools should be used to avoid deformation caused by brute force operation; After installation, an idle test is required to confirm normal operation.
3. Establish equipment maintenance records, detailing the time, content, and replacement part models of each maintenance, to facilitate traceability of equipment operation status and develop targeted maintenance plans.
